WWI US Army Discharge Papers

Description

For sale is a nice two piece lot of Enlistment And Discharge records presented to Sergeant Russell James Easton Russell of Middelbury Vermont.
Some of the details noted were as follows...
Born 1882 in Cornwall Vt
Enlisted on November 21st, 1917 at age 25
Was a US Mail Carrier at time of enlistment
Promoted to Sgt on November 1st 1918
Citations included, 3 silver service chevrons, 1 Victory Medal
Sgt Easton was married
No wounds received in service...excellent physical condition at the time of discharge
Excellent Character.
Discharged on May 27 1919.
Aside from some discoloration on the one piece, both are in very good to excellent condition and easy to read all entries.
