1972 Sterling Silver Christmas Cross
This is a rare Reed & Barton 1972 Christmas Cross. This stunning sterling silver pendant has raised detailing that makes the cross design more eye-catching and spectacular. Whether you desire Reed & Barton collectables, crosses, unique necklaces, or Christmas ornaments, this pendant will be sure to fit the bill. There is a bail at the top so that you may display it as either an ornament or wear it with a beautiful chain or thin leather strap as a necklace. The back of the Christmas Cross is marked with the year, Reed & Barton, and that the item is Sterling.
The cross shows discoloration from tarnishing in the nooks and crannies of the design, giving it somewhat of an antiqued look (see photos). The rear has a few stubborn spots of tarnish along with minor surface abrasions due to use over time. The back appears warped at first glance, but we believe it is intentionally concave as part of its design. The bail has been recently replaced.
Measures approximately 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" and weighs 18.7 grams.
