Vintage 14 Karat Yellow Gold Garnet Bead Necklace

Authentic fourteen karat yellow gold garnet bead necklace. This vintage necklace has an overall length of twenty six inch. The necklace features a pattern of natural garnets with alternating fourteen karat yellow gold beads. The garnets have a rich dark reddish purple color. The spherical garnets average 6mm. while the faceted beads average 5.5mm. The alternating gold beads create a very complimentary and striking contrast with the garnets. These gold beads are a super shiny bright finish and corrugated design. The smaller beads average 2.1mm. in size while the larger corrugated beads range from 2.9 to 5.5mm. in size. Finishing the necklace is a marquise shape filigree style fishhook clasp. Stamped on the clasp is "14K" indicating fourteen karat gold in fineness and what looks to be a portion of a triangle. This necklace has not been cleaned or polished. Shows minimal age appropriate wear and overall very nice estate condition. A couple of the gold beads show minor dents and dings but not apparent unless under close inspection. The necklace weighs a super solid 35 grams. This classic garnet and gold necklace would make a wonderful gift or self purchase. Looks great when worn and will soon become a wardrobe favorite.
