For your consideration is this beautiful WWI era U.S. Army Air Service Sweetheart Brooch. This is one of the finer Air Service sweetheart items we've had the pleasure of handling in over 30 years. They are made by "FMCO" which I believe to be "Finberg Manufacturing Co.". They produced a lot of high-end gold filled jewelry starting in 1905 with the FMCO makers mark. This piece is no exception. The motif flanking the WWI wings is hand chased, and expertly done. The brooch is not stamped for metal content, but I can say with a great deal of certainty it is gold filled. The clasp opens and closes as originally intended.
