C. “ECUADOR” SILVER & TURQUOISE 3 PART PENDANT MYTHICAL FOLK FIGURE IN MODERNIST/”PRIMITIVE” STYLE:
2 large opposing loops representing
wild hair sprouting from rectangular head with polished, smooth frame.
Face is composed of turquoise bead eyes set in round bezels, nose is a handmade triangular flange, mouth is a smooth bar that also looks handmade.
Head section attaches to cross-shaped torso with rings:
large polished circle in center likely symbolizing belly button.
Torso attached to “leg” section, also with rings, so that two lower sections are free to swing.
Legs are a fantastic gondola-shape, rounded bottom rising dramatically into up-curved, pointed horns as feet.
Leg section ornamented with large, quality EMERALD CUT BLACK GLASS, in strong claw bezel.
ALLOVER STIPPLING OF SURFACE.
Marked “ECUADOR” and with 3 linked circles.
No mark for silver content.  Measures 3".
