    Julie Good-Kruger
    Sarah Crewe, A Little Princess
designed and manufactured by Julie Good-Kruger in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  She is 21" tall, fully jointed, and made of hard vinyl.  She has blue glass eyes with lashes, nice facial coloring, and applied brunette wig in the original style.  She comes dressed in her original black velvet dress topped with a white batiste apron with lace insets, black tights, shiny black patent leather shoes.  She comes with her hang tag on one wrist and the story booklet on the other.  She is previously owned and in excellent all original condition.
    The Story
SARAH CREWE is the heroine of "A LITTLE PRINCESS," the well loved children's book by Frances Hodgson Burnett. SARAH has a special place in her heart for monkeys, because she is rescued from her position as an indebted scullery maid in her former school through the curiosity of a monkey. After her father's death, a friend of his sets out to find SARAH and restore to her the fortune that was thought to be lost by her father in bad investments. Accompanying this friend are his Indian servant and the servant's pet monkey. While Sarah languishes in her unheated attic room, this monkey explores the London rooftops near his master's new residence. One day Sarah is surprised and delighted to see a monkey climb into her garret by way of the attic window. Eventually, but not uneventfully, this meeting leads to SARAH's rescue.
