    Description

For auction is a nice little WW1 medal grouping to one man, Floyd Edward Eiselt of Blue Earth, Faribault County, Minnesota. The grouping includes his WW1 Victory Medal with Meuse-Argonne and Defensive Sector battle bars, as well as five veterans association encampment medals, a VFW lapel pin, and a notebook with names and towns of his comrades as well as his story of going to France, time there, and trip back home after the war ended.
Eiselt was a member of Company D, 3rd Corps Artillery Park (CAP) and went over to France in 1918. He left for France on a ship called Keemun and came home on the Noordam. It sounds like the Keemun had an interesting trip to France, losing track of their convoy escort according to Eiselt's notes.
