This coin has Nicer XF+ Harp Details and a filled denticle error on the rim. Examine the photos to see the error. This kind of error is quite rare. Most grease-die-errors are visible on coin faces rather than on the coin rims. Here you can see the way the die was overloaded with grease when the reeded edge was applied to the planchette. When there is too much grease in the die, details are missing, or partially blocked, resulting in an error coin. The error is what makes this coin perfect for collecting!
In 1935 there were only 390,000 1 Flóirin / 2 Scilling Irish coins made, compare that to the 2,025,000 made in 1928. To find such an obvious and unique error in a low mintage year is really a boon! This coin has a diameter of 28.5mm and a weight of 11.31 grams.
