Description
This is a solid bronze plaque with a stand. The paper insert on the back describes the piece. At the left is the defeated god of War and is shown in an attitude of dejection. On the right is Columbia with drawn sword who stands in triumph. The spread eagle of American freedom guards the inscription which tells the part your soldier played in the Great War. The plaque was made by the Flour City Ornamental Iron Co., Bronze Craftsmen, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and weighs 10.4 ounces.
